The Alexander Doll Company, manufacturer of Madame Alexander Dolls, is pleased to announce that it is celebrating its landmark 80th birthday by inviting the public to do the same at their wonderful New York factory. After years of honoring special requests, Madame Alexander is finally yielding to overwhelming demand and swinging wide its factory doors so that the public may enjoy birthday (and other!) celebrations at the historic location. A bona fide pop culture icon, Madame Alexander has earned its pink-and-blue stripes over the past 80 years, and is now excited to introduce a new way for the next generation of doll enthusiasts to enjoy their beautiful creations.

The first name in high quality dolls, Madame Alexander enjoys a celebrity following that includes Demi Moore, Britney Spears, Ozzy Osbourne, and has been featured on popular television series' like Sex and The City and most recently appeared in the hit comedy Uptown Girls, starring Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning. Now, the company's new birthday party initiative provides both longtime fans and new collectors the chance to enjoy the total Madame Alexander experience! Offered Monday thru Saturday, parties may be scheduled during mornings and afternoons. Though different customizable packages will be available, a typical party will begin with a private factory tour. Never before open to the public, the tour is fascinating for both children and adults and takes guests through the complete doll creation process - from witnessing the bodies being created to seeing hair rooted, faces painted and clothing being sewn. A stop at the Madame Alexander Doll Hospital even provides a glimpse of how this venerable company has been mending broken hearts - along with arms, legs and other ailments! - for years.

Party attendees will also have the unique chance to go behind the scenes to meet the talented Alexander Design Team and see the creative process at work, Mini workshops will give children the chance to exercise their own creative expression and decorate their own doll shoes or hats. In addition, guests will be some of the first to tour the long awaited Madame Alexander Heritage Gallery opening November 2004. The company store will also be open during the party inviting guests for an exclusive shopping opportunity!

Madame Alexander will work closely with each party host to coordinate refreshments and personalize each event, and all guests will depart with a special Madame Alexander gift bag and doll to add to a Madame Alexander collection or start a new one. Ranging in prices from $30 - $95 per person, packages are customized and priced accordingly.
